What to expect

Initial Consultation
A tour of your home or business will be conducted; wherein, a discussion about your priorities, needs, budget, and your vision will take place. Photographs of your interior will be taken. This information gathering and assessment will enable a design direction to be established, and will be a starting point to providing design solutions. This will be used as the first step in the preparation of a complete design proposal.

Complete Services
Using the initial consultation as a guide, a design plan will be developed based on your preferences, priorities, and budget. A design package will be presented for your consideration. This presentation will include the specifics of your design scheme, and may include: floor plans, furniture, fabrics, custom window treatment designs, flooring, lighting, plumbing fixtures, etc., as applicable to your project. All products and services costs will be outlined. After the presentation of the design, we encourage you to analyze our ideas and product selections. When you are ready to proceed, and we receive your signed approval, the ordering and production phase will begin. Your project will be continually managed from order tracking, coordination of trade personnel, to the final installation. Your delight and satisfaction is our priority!

Consultations Only
These consultations can include many aspects from simple paint color selection and coordination, to design recommendations and guidance. Consultations Only fees are based on an hourly rate.

New Construction and Remodeling Services
Are you building a new home, or remodeling an existing room, entire home, or office? Having a solid design plan before your project begins will minimize problems and ensure a smooth process along the way. Services will include working in conjunction with your contractor/builder to ensure that your vision is interpreted properly, to accomplish a cohesive and harmonizing look throughout.

Accessory and Art Selection and Placement
Accessories are one of the most important aspects of a design. Expertly selected and placed accessories will bring all of the design elements together to achieve a completed, finished look and feel. From all new products, to a mix of new and the use of your highly prized items will be taken into consideration.

Floor Plans
Floor plans are provided to achieve proper traffic flow and furniture placement.

Custom Furniture and Fabrics
Custom furniture will be selected and coordinated to ensure that it is the proper scale for the space, and that the custom fabrics are the perfect choice for durability and esthetics.

Custom Window Treatments
Window treatments are designed with the window's functionality in mind - photos of your existing windows and doors can be used with the new treatment design presented on them (see example below). This will allow you to easily visualize the end product.

Wallpaper
There is no need to shy away from wallpaper! Wallpaper is very much in style, and there is an abundant selection of beautiful products now available from textural grass cloths, to washable and durable vinyl fabric backed papers. It can be used on a focal point wall for a beautiful statement, or in an entire room. Wallpaper can be easily removed in the future with proper wall preparation and installation.


Product Purchasing
Includes project management of ordering, shipment, delivery, and installation - high quality products can be provided that are available "to the trade only" through the Michigan Design Center in Troy, Michigan or "off the shelf" from retail stores. We understand that quality and value are what you deserve.

Lighting Plans
Lighting is an element that is crucial to a beautiful outcome. It can be used to create ambience, to highlighting a beautiful piece of art.

Shopping services are offered to locate and select the perfect items for you - saving you precious time and frustration. Items can be purchased at retail outlets, or designer showrooms, based on your budget.
